FAQ
How should I dress for the services at Mountain Stream?
Since the congregation at Mountain Stream is very diverse: socially, culturally, and generationally, there is no one particular style in the manner our people dress. As you stop by, you will find that some dress more casually (jeans and a shirt/t-shirt), others prefer a more formal outfit (dresses and suits). Choose what fits you best and let God work in your heart!
Is parking available and easily accessible?
Yes.
Are the facilities Handicap Friendly?
Yes.
How long are the services?
Our Sunday School for all ages runs for 45 minutes (from 10:00am to 10:45am), and our morning Worship Service runs for about one hour and thirty minutes (from 11:00am to 12:30pm). However, all guest and attendees are invited to arrive early and stay late to enjoy a great time of fellowship around our refreshment table. All our other weekly services will run for about one hour each.
Is childcare provided during the services?
Childcare is provided during our Sunday School service and during our Sunday morning service.
What is the music style in the Sunday morning Worship Service?
In keeping with our desire to minister to a diverse group of people, we make an effort to blend various styles of music into our services. In our selection of songs you will find contemporary songs, classic and modern hymns, African-American gospel, some songs in Spanish, and more. Of course, we are not able to play every style on every Sunday. However, . . . if you happen not to hear something familiar in your first visit . . . stick around, because a song that may move your heart may play on the following week :-) Our desire is to see our congregation learning to serve one another, specially when the subject relates to areas of personal preference, such as music styles.
How many people attend your Sunday morning Service?
Our attendance on a given Sunday morning is between 95-130 people.
Do you have people from different ethnicities in the congregation?
Yes. Considering that our desire is to reflect the community in which we are inserted, we make an intentional effort to promote unity in Christ as we celebrate the diversity found in His creation. Our pastor, James Richards (Jamaican) is a living testament to this conviction. Our congregation has a good mix of African Americans, Caucasians, Caribbeans, and Hispanics.
